You may not have noticed - this is the new Keith Jarrett of our generation. Some 26 years old he only started the piano at age 16 with a particularly unorthodox teacher combining music, maths and psychology. Two years later he already performed. The CD reflects Piano jazz trio at its best. Suspense, rich modulation from Scrijabin through Kagel and Cage, melody, rhythm .... The material includes compositions by Sting and - yes hard to believe - Britney Spears ("Toxic", actually one of the most experimental tracks). There is just one downside to the album: Yaron Herman live is still ten times better!!! If you have the chance - go for it. A bundle of emotions and energy - in concert, Yaron lets it loose. There is a wiki article on him which refers to some concert critics. Read them - they are true. I watched him two days ago in Brussels where he shared the stage with Avishai Cohen's trio. I must say that Yaron outshone Avishai. Unbelievable but true ......
